If you don’t know the premise of this film, the first scene may make you really wonder what you are watching. If you enjoy that kind of surprise, stop reading and go watch this… or maybe I can stay vague enough that it won’t matter.
This film provides an outsider perspective on American culture and also shows some of the social “costs” of being “outside”. There is some soapboxing about education and consumerism, and while the main character is generally sympathetic he makes some very poor decisions at times.
Thought provoking and imperfect.
