Cliffy is a tough one to review. It is a made-for-television drama based on actual events. The major events mostly match real life, and the story is quite interesting. The main character, Cliffy, is self-effacing but very determined, which seems to reflect the real Cliff Young.

The movie has some oddities, and in some cases it is difficult to tell if that is because Cliffy apparently really was an odd fellow, or if some aspects of the director’s vision just aren’t working. Worth watching despite the glitches, especially if you’re looking for some inspiration.
