Vivino Wine Rating App

I use the Vivino wine rating app at the store to see how people have rated the wine. Using the app to take a picture of almost any wine bottle, the Vivino server analyzes the photo and figures out what kind of wine and which vintage you are looking at.

You can add your own ratings for wines, so I also use it to record my impressions of wines I drink.

A “premium membership” (paid monthly or annually) lets you maintain an inventory of your cellar, but I haven’t tried that and don’t plan to. You can also access much of the functionality from a computer on the Vivino web site, but in many ways the iOS app is easier to use.
